8300GTGrease Interceptors with Receiving Cradle for Recessed Installation with Semi-Automatic Draw-Off

This all steel receiving cradle provides positive support for the interceptor and vertical adjustability for the inlet and outlet connections to meet the drainage piping. It is ideal for kitchens, restaurants, institutions, and all types of food processing areas where waste water contains Fats, OIls, and Greases (F.O.G.s). F.O.Gs will solidify and build up in pipes and lead to blockages, backups, pipe bursts, and overflows. The receiving cradle can be set in the slab at the time of pouring or set in a pre-sleeved opening in the rough slab. The cradle is secured and suspended in the rough slab by its anchoring flange. The semi-automatic draw-off type grease interceptor is lowered into the receiver cradle and adjusted to the elevation of the drainage piping. The interceptor, line shut-off valve and flexible grease draw-off hose are readily accessible for cleaning and inspection simply by removing the cradle cover which sits flush with the floor. The cradle supports the interceptor and has no provisions for waterproofing the interceptor in relation to the cradle and ceiling below.

How Grease Interceptors Work

"The advantage of an interceptor is its proven track record and long-established acceptance by the plumbing industry."

– *PM Engineer Magazine

Learn about the importance of a grease trap or interceptor and how one works to keep plumbing functioning properly.

A grease trap (or grease interceptor) is a plumbing device (a type of trap) designed to intercept most greases and solids before they enter a wastewater disposal system. These units reduce the amount of fats, oils, and greases (FOGs) that enter sewers.
